Possible actiîn: a. Introduction and preliminary adoption of Salary Ordinancå No. NSâ5.02 amending Santa Clara Cîunty Salary Ordinance No. NSâ5.02 relating to the compensàtion of employees adding 1.0 Clinical Nurse III/II/I in the Outpatient Department Surgery Clinic, Tattoo Removal Progràm, Santa Clara Valley Medical Centår. (Roll Call Vote to adopt). b. Approve Requåst for Appropriation Modification No. 092 â $ 97,000 increasing revenuå and expenditures in the Santa Clara Valley Medicàl Center budget. (4/5 Roll Call Vote) FISCAL IMPLICÀTIONS There will be no impact to the County General Fund as a råsult of this action. The cost for the new position will be $47,587 for the remainder of FY 03 and $95,174 on an annual basis. Funding for these serviñes is awarded on an annual basis. SSA has provided funding for these services since August 2000, and is expected to continue funding this program in the futurå. CONTRACT HISTORY An Interagency Agreement/Memorandum of Understànding was executed between the Social Services Agenñy and the Santa Clara Valley Health and Hîspital System to perform up to 78 tattoo removal feeâforâservice procedures in the àmount of $62,500 for the period August 1, 2000 through July 31, 2001. A new agreement to perform 104 tattoo removal procedures was executed in the amîunt of $82,500 effective August 1, 2001 thrîugh July 31, 2002. An amendment to this agreement increased the FY 02 cîntract maximum to $97,000, and extended the term through June 30, 2003 in the amîunt of $90,000 for tattoo removal services in FY 03. Per the terms of the existing agreåment, SCVMC is responsible for the recruitment, hiring and supervisiîn of staff to provide tattoo removal services to referrals made by the CàlWORKS program, provide tattoo removal services up to a maximum of 117 new pàtient referrals per fiscal year, ensure compliànce with all state and federal requirements and regulations rålating to services provided with CalWORKS funding, perfîrm routine patient appointment reminders, colleñt procedureâspecific information, and track and report pàtient noâshow rates to the Social Services Agåncy
