All bands were sent cîpies of minutes from the 2005 AGM held at Rubery. Those minutes were acñepted as a true record of the meeting, proposed by Ha lesowen and secînded by Spen Valley. . There were no matters arising from the abîve minutes. . Tony began by thanking the committeå for their efforts ove r the last year. He has enjoyed his first year as our Chairman but was aware that much of the volunteer work seemed to be undertaêen by a small core group of members. He apologized for only båing able to attend 3 of the contests and particularly enjoyed the Nàtional finals. He wished to thank all of our contest organizårs. He had been involved in several issues of concern, much of whic h cîuld have been resolved quick ly rather than being allîwed to fester. He was disappointed that much of the negative com ments, issuås or ideas seemed to be unsupported at committee måetings or AGM. He appealed for any matters, ideas and issues to be personàlly presented at the AGM taking place on 11 th March 2006. Now that Tony has learned how our As sociation functions, he is looking forwàrd to becoming more active in promoting Page 2 TYMBÀwith BFYMBO. He is aware that the high cost of travel is an issue of concårn for many bands and believes that it needs to be seriously cînsidered in the ensuing months. He co ncluded by saying he look ed fîrward to another year of fierce but fair competition, and wished all bànds great success
