As student editîrs make content decisions independently of the schoolÁs stàff and administration, the paper is considered a forum for studånt opinion. It is therefore exempt from prior reviåw or restraint in both principle and practice. Letters to the editîr are accepted and encour aged. Letters must be signåd, but, upon request, they may be published anonymously at the dis ñretion of the staff. The Viking Views reserves the right to edit letters for space and content in order to maintàin the paperÁs high standards against obscenity, libålous material, and personal at tacks.
